"Good shop, but the stock situation is frustrating"
I like Light In The Attic overall and they definitely carry some really cool records, but the stock can be hit or miss. I’ll find something I want, leave it for a bit, and then when I come back it’s suddenly gone or hard to tell if it’s ever coming back.
A few records I had my eye on were listed before, then disappeared later, and some preorders seem to sit there without much of an update. I also tried asking about one item and got transferred around, which was annoying because I just wanted a straight answer.
It’s not a bad site at all, and I’ll probably still check it from time to time, but I really wish availability and preorder updates were clearer. It would save me from constantly checking back for stuff that might not even be coming in...

"Pretty decent overall, just a little unsure"
My order did show up, so that part was fine. I was just a little unsure along the way because the updates felt kind of slow

I’ll give them credit, Light in the Attic has a really solid mix of records and reissues. I only meant to look for one album, but ended up stumbling on a few odd older titles I hadn’t seen anywhere else. It’s a little frustrating that some stuff is out of stock, but the selection is fun to dig through.

"Tracking could be clearer"
My order arrived just fine, but the tracking updates were a little confusing. The emails did not seem to update very quickly, so I ended up checking on it myself a few times. It was not a big problem, but the tracking could definitely be easier to follow.

I noticed the same problem popping up a couple of times, so I reached out to support to see what was going on. It wasn’t the fastest process, but they did eventually sort it out and everything seems to be working fine now.

"Great exclusives, but the experience can be hit or miss"
I’ll be honest, I do like shopping here because they get some really cool exclusive releases that I don’t always see anywhere else. That part definitely makes it worth checking out. But the shipping and order updates can feel slow sometimes, which gets a little frustrating. So overall, I’d say it’s good when everything goes smoothly, but not always the most reliable experience

"Returns aren’t worth the hassle"
I tried to return an order it was way more frustrating than it should have been. The replies took too long, and the refund process wasn’t explained clearly at all. I had to chase them more than once, which feels unreasonable for a basic return. The store might be okay if you end up keeping everything, but based on my experience, their returns and refunds just aren’t handled well.

"Record arrived damaged from weak packaging"
I ordered a record and it showed up in this really thin mailer with almost no protection. The corners were bent, and the sleeve had a noticeable crease, which was disappointing. For what I paid, I assumed they'd take a little more care with packaging. It kind of felt like they just rushed it out the door and didn’t think much about how it would arrive. Frustrating, and I’m not sure I’d order from them again.
"Wait, it costs that much?!"
I was surprised by the prices. They felt way too high for what you get, and I just couldn’t see it being worth the money

"Great picks, found stuff I probably missed"
I mostly use Light in the Attic when I’m trying to find reissues I wouldn’t have come across on my own. Maybe I’m just not digging in the right places, but their curation feels really solid, especially for weird soul, folk stuff, and old soundtracks that seem actually hand picked instead of just dumped from a catalog.
The only thing I’m not totally sure about is that I sometimes wish the pages had more samples or a little more background info before I buy. That might just be me overthinking it, though. Overall, it’s a really solid site and I’ve found a bunch of cool stuff there.

I was disappointed when the order showed up because it wasn’t what I asked for at all. You expect to get the items you picked, but instead I ended up with the wrong stuff

I was excited to play this, but the record just sounded flat and noisy right away. At first I thought maybe it was my setup, or actually, no, after I cleaned it and tried again, it still sounded bad. Definitely worse than I expected.

"Preorder dragged on with barely any updates"
I preordered from lightintheattic.net because I figured it would ship somewhere around the date they had listed, but nope... it just kept getting pushed back. The updates were either super late or so vague they didn’t really tell me anything, so I was basically just sitting there wondering what was going on.
I get that delays happen, especially with preorders, but it felt like they could’ve handled the communication a lot better. After waiting that long with no clear answers, I’m not in a rush to preorder from them again. just a frustrating experience overall

"Record was fine, but the sleeve was a bit disappointing"
So... I ordered a record from Light in the Attic and the shipping itself was totally fine, but the sleeve showed up with a bent corner and a small crease. The vinyl played okay after I gave it a clean, so it wasn’t a total loss or anything. I just expected it to be in better shape for the price. I’d maybe order again, but I’d hope the packing or condition check is a little better next time.

"Slow replies and useless support"
I emailed them about my order and had to wait forever just to get a reply. When they finally got back to me, it felt like they hadn’t even read what I wrote. I had to explain the same thing all over again, what a joke. Super frustrating experience, and I definitely won’t be using them again

"International shipping came at the worst time"
I ordered a record to the UK thinking it might take a little while, but the shipping dragged on way longer than expected. The timing was awful because I’d bought it as something I wanted to have by a specific weekend, and the tracking barely updated for weeks, so I had no clue if it was even moving.
When it finally showed up, the box looked rough, which was frustrating after waiting that long. On top of that, I got hit with extra fees I wasn’t really expecting, so by the time it arrived, the whole thing just felt more annoying than exciting.
Customer service did reply, but it was slow and didn’t really help much. Maybe it’s fine if you’re not in a hurry, but the poor timing and lack of updates made the whole experience feel messy. I wouldn’t order international from them again.

The payment did go through in the end, but the whole checkout process felt clunky and slower than it should have been. I kept waiting and second-guessing if it was even working, and I felt kind of stupid for trusting them with my order...

"Wish I hadn't taken a chance on this one"
I was really hoping this would be a solid copy, but the record showed up warped and had constant pops all the way through. It felt like I basically lost money on something I can't really enjoy listening to. Disappointing pressing
